GAIN Report: Priorities for Specialized Geriatric Services in the HNHB LHIN

Following a review of Year 1 proposals submitted for funding from the Aging at Home (AAH) Strategy, the HNHB LHIN Board recognized the need to have a set of Specialized Geriatric Services (SGS) priorities that could be used to assist them in making future funding decisions related to year 2 and 3 AAH proposals.

At the request of the HNHB LHIN, GAIN engaged participants from various sectors and all LHIN regions in focus groups during May-June to solicit information on service gaps, barriers to care etc. for patients needing SGS. A Delphi process was then used to assist in the development of consensus on priorities.
